However, buyer brokers have begun offering a fraction of their commissions to their clients in the form of a real estate commission rebate. Brokers are doing less work for their real estate commissions as more people rely on the power of the Internet to buy and sell homes. As a result, some Multiple Listing Service real estate agencies have begun offering flat fee listing services to sellers, in which they function primarily as points of contact for the sellers and their prospective buyers.
