Fee for service real estate and other cool stuff
Buyers are beginning to realize that, in reality, they are doing part of the brokers work by locating their homes themselves and believe they have earned a rebate on the real estate commission. Just as with flat fee services, some brokers shy away from connecting their clients to buyers operating on their own. Others will argue that, when real estate markets turn cold, properties should be made available to all potential buyers regardless of whether a broker is involved. Buyers and sellers alike are more Internet savvy now and more frequently require brokers only for negotiations, contract preparation and other real estate related intricacies of the deal. The buyers understandably should earn a real estate commission rebate for their role in the transaction.
