My special place to write and think about self-service moving

Be frank with yourself: Do you have a lot of possessions to store? How fragile are they, and how concerned about their condition will you be while they are in the self storage unit? How frequently are you likely to need to go into the self storage unit to take out and put in items? Cutting corners or giving "good" answers to these questions, instead of the right answers, is a sure way to pick the wrong storage unit, so take some time and think of what you realistically need instead of what you would need in a perfect world. Selecting a self storage unit with the right dimensions is essential. Consider not only the area taken up by the objects to be stored, but any extra space you might need. For example, if you plan to pack the unit and leave it packed until you are ready to empty it, you will need a unit just large enough to hold your belongings. However, if you plan to visit the unit to retrieve objects, treating it like a long term warehouse instead of short term storage, you will need to leave space for aisles so you can reach objects at the back.
