The Institute is the place where auto technicians go to be trained and certified in all aspects of car repair and service. You are assured of high quality service every time by having a ASE certified technician perform your car repair. A technician becomes ASE certified if he has passed at least one of the Institute exams and has at minimum two years of confirmed experience working as a technician. ASE tests the technician in areas such as engine repair and performance, electronic systems, brakes, heating and air conditioning, drive train, axles, and automatic transmissions. A technician can also take specialized examinations in collision repair, damage estimates, and auto parts.
